1st day of 5th Grade

Adison was off to 5th grade on Monday and I did manage to convince her to keep our tradition of wearing something Patsy Aiken on the 1st day of school :-)!  She was so excited about her cool new book bag that we managed to locate online!  She looked so grown up - had to fight back a little tear as I dropped her off!  My big girl is growing up way too fast!  Little Sister starts on Wednesday - another big gulp and I'm sure a few tears when I send my baby off, but I know she's so ready!!

Lazy days of Summer......

Whew- can we say hot?? After a week of record breaking consecutive 100+ degree days, we are taking it easy today and staying inside in the AC!! Maybe a little break coming up this week - a cooling trend with highs only in the 90's - it's just crazy!!

Adison had a great week last week - 2nd week of school and so far so good! She loves her new teacher, all though she does say she is strict! Her Dad & I think "strict" is good though - so hoping for a great year! Pey has her last week of "K-ready 1" this week before she moves on to "K-ready 2" and will have the same teacher that Adison had - Mrs. Sharla! She really loves her, so hoping for a smooth transistion for our other sweet girl and she embarks on her last year of pre-school! Can't beleive how fast it has flown by!

Pey's school is closed on Friday in preparation for the "big move" on Monday and Adison has Early Release as well, so hoping we might could sneak out of town a little early for our last weekend before Fall Soccer craziness commences and all the Fall activities began in FULL SWING! Here we come Fall 2011!!

I'm back - maybe??

Wow - so I thought I could do this, but Life just seems to get in the way, but I'm going to try harder! Crazy this week with soccer season starting, both girl's having dental appointments, photo shoot planning for Fall '11, gymnastics, dance -costume fittings (they were all too big - lots of alterations in my future!) - PTA bulletin boards.........calgon take me away!! Still recovering from my "Grace" moment last Sunday on the sidewalk - big scraped knee and I just don't seem to heal quite as fast as I used to!! Brandt is in town this week - thank goodness!! He ended up having to go to Adison's parent meeting about the Academically and Intelectually Gifted program that she is being tested for - Go Adie! - that I couldn't squeeze in. Not sure he got ALL the details - you know I asked him 900 questions, but I hope we got the "gist"! Oh and how could I forget Dr. Suess's birthday? Here's my own little cat in the hat!

Halloween

Back from Trick or Treating and one big girl asleep and one little girl making her 3rd appearance down stairs! Brandt and I have decided that Peyton is officially a night owl! The girl's did have a great time tonight - all though Pey only made it around the block before deciding that her time would be best spent helping Daddy hand out the candy! It was such a beautiful night, that they decided to just sit out on the porch and greet the Trick or Treaters right there! Adison had a lot of fun walking with her buddy Rachel from down the street. All and all one more Halloween a great success in our wonderful little neighborhood!

Leo

Leo went to gymnastics today and got his photo taken with Adison's best buds - Abby & Julianna! Little sister and Jenna hopped in too! What a day we are having so far! Everyone is resting up right now getting ready for the big night ahead! Adison has planned Leo's costume too. He is going to be a "surfer" - seems he fits into Build-a-bear clothing, so he's all set! Leo may need a vacation after this busy weekend!

Halloween

Adison loved her Halloween outfit so much - we've worn it the required once a week since October 1st! Wish I could still get her to wear the big bows - she will do it for Mom at the photo shoots, but not to school any more - we are too cool now! She will wear our little mini bows - and she loved the little pumpkin one (we are on our second one because one came up missing at school - oops!). I think the striped poet tunics were a hit - I think we will end up with every color by the end of the season!

Essential Halloween Dress!

Sweet Pey in her Chez Ami essential Halloween dress - love this sweet photo - complete with her name taped on the bottom of her shoes. Can't believe I didn't notice that until the photo shoot was over! Love the Bilibo's for keeping little ones from leaving the scene - but sometimes hard to keep them sitting upright! A little sad that Halloween is almost over - but thinking we can wear the pumpkin and candy corn through Thanksgiving!
